I had the pleasure of recently receiving a copy of the TGN EP. I just wanted to let you guys know that I am honoured to have a copy. Upon first listen I was impressed by the rawness and God's honest "fun" in the recording and songs. I must say the EP has stayed in my car deck and I find myself playing "Early Morning Torque" over and over. I love it!!!! Yesterday while suffering a 4 day old migraine I played "Torque" on the way to work, I was laughing so hard, tears were running down my face, a morning boner has never been given a finer tribute, the raw catchy fun in this song continues to put a smile on my face. I play it over and over....pure genius boys. There is nothing so comedic than true life and a morning torque shlank is a reality we guys must live with, I now look at mine with pride and not merely inconvenience.
I love the raw "Ace Frehley" Les Paul tone, I can hear the lovely mahogany body and the maple top "bite" that only a Les Paul can create.
Everyone did a great job on the EP and you can tell you guys had a blast doing it.
KUDOS dudes.......this is a pure genius MASTERPIECE!!!!

....I read the lyrics first. Excellent. Booze & p*ssy you can' t go wrong. Content has got your stamp all over it. These are party lyrics. You guys lived them better than any group of party animals I ever met. Mentioned this before, I refer to your weekends as legendary!
My first impression...I LIKE IT!!! Instantly reminded me of early vintage Twisted Sister circa “Under The Blade" and Metallica's “Kill Em All” in its' attitude. Raw, old school, metal the way metal should be played! You don't sound like anyone, which is very hard to do. As I would listen to it I would smile. I can just see Nellu jumping up on a stage (any stage)! and rocking the sh*t better than the vocalist who actually plays with the band!...
Another complete bonus...GUITAR SOLOS!!!! Finally get to hear a real guitar solo! Last 15 years or so bands have not been recording them. But they are coming back. You guys recognize the need....
Nelson has got a powerful voice and he knows how to use it "Undisputed Heavymetal Champion of the World" sums it up perfectly!....
He has that raw Lemmy vibe without sounding like Motorhead. Amazing stage presence. When he is onstage you can't take your eyes off him-never know what he will do to entertain the crowd!! Looks like a bad ass. Best of all can drink anyone under the table on any given night. Those are all the ingredients that I know of to be a rock star!
You can consider me a TGN fan. I wish you guys the best of luck! You definitely deserve some attention in the metal community. As always I'll help you as much as I can.
Keep it hard, and show me the horns!!! \m/ Jason Piche

TGN (THE GRAND NELLU)-THE UNDISPUTED HEAVY METAL CHAMPION OF THE WORLD (INDEPENDENT)
Although some like to dish out the criticism, yet can't take it, I've always prided myself (and so have others) for my honest reviews. This rehearsal, in particular, doesn't have that bad a sound, as TGN blend the Rock-'n'-roll party attitude of bands like American Dog, with the sexist humour of The Mentors (R.I.P.), on this 4 track, CD sampler. The energetic opener "I Got Drunk" is lyrically self-explanatory, with some of Dale Roy's catchy riffs, and Randy Lalonde's steady paced drumming, that proved catchy, after numerous listens. The sexual innuendos of "Early Morning Torque" made me laugh, when I first heard it, blending Nelson Roy's moody vocals, with Richard Kibbee's strong bass line, it's a wet dream, cum true. Dale's basic, chunky, riff, kicks "The Word Of The Day" into action, helping to "spread the word", it sounds familiar (musically), and blends the 2 previously mentioned lyrical themes, in 1 track. Finally, the almost country sounding "The Finger" came as an unexpected surprise, blending an ironic twist of fate, with various one liners, it builds, and proves to be the most original sounding, because of it.
